BRIEF
I was working at KicksUSA when I was asked to create marketing assets for a Women's History Month speakers panel event. This was a panel discussion for local women to discuss their passions, jobs, and how they got there. The project was time-critical because the event was only two weeks away and marketing materials were needed right away. My duties included creating a flyer, drink menu, IG Stories overlay, SnapChat/IG Filter, RSVP page for the app, and various social media versions of the event flyer.
CHALLENGE
I accepted the challenge of completing this project under a tight deadline. My first step was to create a visually appealing headline that corresponded with the theme of Women's HERstory Month. Then use that as the foundation for the rest of the assets.

I started brainstorming flyer ideas. I created the initial mock up first to lay down my ideas and the layout. I wasn't happy with the simplicity of the WHM headline I originally chose, so I redesigned it with the entire spelling. My team preferred the sans serif font of the two options I presented to them.
Once my team and I were satisfied with the headline and colors for the event, I moved on to animating the headline, as it was necessary for the final outcome.
After I was completely satisfied with the animation, I went back to my first round flyer draft and incorporated the flowers from that into the new headline.
I then proceeded to design the flyer. Because the team liked the layout of the initial flyer, I inserted the new headline and then redid the background. Presented the new version to the team and they loved it
SOCIAL MEDIA & APP
Following the completion of the flyer and menu, I created the RSVP page as well as additional social media assets such as animated flyers for Instagram and Instagram Stories, overlays for each speaker, and a Snapchat filter to be used on the day of the event.
